Students from 7th Primary School of Thebes read the story of the youngest Nobel Prize laureate, Malala Yousafzai, fighting for the right of girls to attend school despite violent attacks. Standing up for Girls’ Rights is told in her own words, it is told in Malala’s voice, the voice of a young girl. Malala shows us her world in her native Pakistan as she sees it and understands it, providing a window for students living lives so different from hers. She tells of her first-hand experience watching the Taliban in action. The Taliban is against girls learning. She defied the Taliban, was attacked and injured. She speaks up to news stations, writes online under a pseudonym, and gives speeches when possible to speak about how unfair the Taliban treats everyone, especially women.
